you know, in my working life… sometimes, you can never expect the unexpected. i’ve heard so many stories from my seniors and other colleagues alike. we always have many stories and tales to shares. things that many people would never see! and every time, when we had those kind of ‘breaking’ stories, its nice to sit down, and share…

like some other day, which was like eons ago, i was activated for a call for an abandon 1 mth baby in some temple… * gasp *

you know me right?… 5 years service in ne nor ne nor also, this is like my first time i got case of an abandon baby!!! i’ve never had a rape case before too!!!… as in rape, still survived… 2 years back, i got a case of rape and then she was murdered kind…

NOW that, is a different story altogether!!! YOU SEE.. my job is so exciting one!!!… wahahahahahahha… well, not always… but at times… :p

so back to the abandon baby… my crew and i were activated at around 0500 hrs in the wee morning to some temple lah…
case of : 1mth year old baby, abandoned… medical advice ( that’s US ) needed, by police…

i was like, WOO HOO!!! so exciting CAN?!?!?!? so me and my crew were all geared up! 5 o’clock in the MORNING also, we didn’t feel at ALL tired nor sleepy! everyone of us were so geared up to see the BABY!!!… when we arrived, there were a few police officers around the temple. as usual, police officers always so many at a particular scene, but they don’t do much…

so the MEDICAL expert came, me with a trainee and we DEMANDED to see the baby… my heart sank when i saw the baby… IT WAS SO CUTE!!! it was wrapped so nicely with a BLANKET… it was placed neatly in a box…

so i looked at the trainee and asked her… BOY OR GIRL?!?!?! and the trainee said GIRL… and i was like, NO WAY!!! its a BOY!!!… so we had to check the baby whether it GOT bird or not the bird one…

the police officers like i mentioned, DON’T dare to do this kind of things… so up to the medical heroes… we unwrapped the blanket and the baby kept farting leh!!! and the baby was so ADORABLE!!! eyes wide wide, round round, and so CUTE!!!….

after the trainee managed to take out the last piece of clothing, i saw a tiny thing sticking out, and I SCREAMED!!! ” I TOLD YOU IT WAS A BABY BOY!!! “

i think at that period of time, the police officers thought i went insane, because i was singing ” i told you so… you don’t believed me… i told you so… ” to the trainee…

wahahahahahahahahahahahahhah…

so after confirmation of the baby’s SEX, we brought the baby to the attention to a much HIGHER medical personnel… the doctors lor… but before that, the police officers needed to take pictures of the baby… so i was like, carrying the baby and i was asking them whether i would be in the picture…

- i know, VAINEST to the max, cannot help myself -

but they told me, they wanted to take the picture of the baby only!!!… na BEI!!!… i was like looking so alert at 0500 hrs in the morning, and i was not a part in the picture?!?!? never mind… i show you HOW I looked like okay?!?!?!?!

true enough… most of my malay friends are idiotic and totally bad in time management. when you have already settled for a timing let say 1430hrs, you will never see them on the dot. worst still, when you tried to call them or smsed them, they refused to answer or reply. well, 2 people can play this game honey. so when my bitch friend made me wait for more than 30 minutes and she never replied to my earlier smsed or my calls, i just left the scene!

even though i am never on the dot, but i will always smsed my friends, telling them my where abouts and what time i will be expecting to appear. i guessed, its a form of courtesy, instead of you waiting for your retarded, idiotic friends, and they refused to pick their calls or returned your concerned smsed. i have enough of their ridiculous attitudes. to me, its awfully rude and inconsiderate. i’m so tired to entertain their ugly habits.

i refused to reply to her smsed or her continuous attempt to get me through my handphone after 1 hour of our destined time to meet up!!!… call me a bear grudging, petty, spoilt retarded grown up man, but that’s my personality. you make me wait, and you never even bother to reply to my sms or answer my call, you jolly well deserved the same treatment.

like i’ve mentioned… 2 can play this game honey! you made me wait for 1 bloody hour like some idiot, walking aimlessly at a huge shopping mall all by myself, you can jolly well wait for the next 1 month or so before i would reply to your ridiculous smsed or phone calls!…

oh yes… I CAN BE bitchy and NO, i don’t care whether i’m acting like a girl in the picture…

i, on the other hand, would rather spend my time indulging on chewy juniors instead. luckily a friend is a call away, and he accompanied me to bugis junction to grab me a box of 12 chewy juniors!

a few days back, i was called back to work on 01/01/08 on my night shift, since i was on night standby and a fellow ne nor ne nor colleague had missed her steps and fall down the stairs! * ok ouch *. but luckily she managed a simple sprained ankle. my goodness, NEW YEAR day itself you got such a bad luck. no, not recalling back to work!

i don’t mind being called back to work…
i was saying falling down the stairs!!!

anyway, the main reason why i didn’t mind coming to work was because, THE BUDDIES managed to work together in one NE NOR NE NOR ambulance!!! its not an every shifts kinda event because buddy and i work in different teams.

we have 4 medical teams in my ne nor ne nor organisation and it was sad to announce that buddy and i are separated by a different team. so when our asses are fixed in one ambulance crew, the madness and fun always surfaced.

i didn’t care how tired i was on that faithful 01/01/08.
i didn’t bothered that much that everytime i accidentally wrote the date as 07/01/01 on my report.
i didn’t care how bad the calls were going to be like on 01/01/08.
i didn’t care whether i was too tired to entertain keng/siong’s crazy attics.
i absolutely didn’t give a damn how ridiculous the members of the public were going to be!

what i know was, keng/siong and i are the best ambulance crew any PARAMEDICS would ever dream off! we are like the LETHAL combination – period!… wahahahhaahhahahhahahahah

yes. SINGAPORE general hospital. its a hospital that i often see. its the hospital that i’ve been sending patients to, through the Accident and Emergency. its also where i often visited a few of my relatives who were sick… and not forgetting, my late grandmother who passed away in the hospital itself.

but somehow, a visit to SGH yesterday, a familiar environment, yet a total new feeling altogether. one of my best friends’ father, md adli was admitted to SGH. when the news came to me that his father had contacted cancer, i was shocked. i was shocked because his father always looks the pink of health.

and he has contacted lung cancer even though he is a non smoker.

yesterday visit was also something that i looked forward too. i haven’t seen his dad for a very long time. even during our Hari Raya Aidilfitiri last year, his dad was not at home. it was nice to catch up with his dad and his mom.

adli’s dad seemed to handle the news quite calmly. he told me that the cancer cells have spread to his spinal cord, and affecting his central nervous system. there is a 2 cm cancerous cell infection in one of his lungs and he has problems walking. looking at his calm composure, i am sure he is worried, but he has to look strong for his family.

as for adli, he is worried, but somehow he managed to handle the pieces and able to relate the news well. my friends and i were there yesterday to give him morale support and also comforting words. though i have to add, its never easy to receive such devastating news. especially when it comes to one’s family member.

an email got my attention. how i had lost weight and this particular reader actually read my entries way back in the year 2006 and said that the first thing she noticed was my facial features. she said and i quote :-

okay, i was on diet pills, and i went to slimming centres that was sponsored by my god mother!!!…

NOT!!!!!!!!!

for those who have not read my previous archives, in the year 2006 was went i got a serious knee injury. knee injury is a bitch i tell you! so during that time, my doctor or physio therapist, i could not remember who exactly, told me to rest my knee for more than 6 months. so during that ‘period’ of 6 months, yours truly was not working out. i was practically eating my hearts out and even during my off days, i was either watching tv, or surfing the internet and didn’t bother to work out at all!

and i tell you, that was the only period of time where i would eat sinful food and not feeling guilty. because i could not run mah… so i just eat all those junk food and i will just sit and let my fat ass more fat lor… SO FUN!!!…

not until when i realised that my jeans and pants started to feel so tight on my waist and i had alarming gained 6 kilos. i was a healthy 62 – 63 kilos range before and suddenly it shoot up to a 69 – 70 kilos. i told myself, i was 70 on my very ‘fat‘ days and 69 on my ‘skinny‘ days… wahahahahahahhahahha… it did boost my morale just a bit lor!!!… wahahahah…

anyway, its not until a fellow blogger, LTS started to have her fitness regime and one of my fellow colleagues was doing her exercise regime and i saw tremendous results from both of them, that i decided to play my part in keeping myself healthy also.

i guessed i was lucky that i had a wake up call that i needed to loose that extra weight off. so during the month of October 2006, i started to have the TAF prog under one of my categories. it was never easy during the first few months. it was relatively hard.

my friends told me that its easier for me, because i’m quite athletic and previously i was quite a fitness freak. maybe they are right in a sense, but ANYONE can be a fitness freak. it just takes a few effort and discipline. i’m not saying that when you start your fitness regime you should start REALLY REALLY fast and work you asses off! don’t lah!!!… you should start at your own pace and progress further.

and yes, you will gain a bit of weight during those process, but don’t fret! its quite normal. sometimes, when you do gym, the fat will turn to muscle, and sometimes you gain muscle mass instead of fat. so yes, you will see that you gain a few pounds, but you will definitely see results.

anyway, for those whose resolution is to loose weight this year, my personal tip and advice is, never say YOU cannot do it. don’t be shy to go jogging or enrolling to gym facilities. people who are shy will never achieve anything. anyway, its good to read that many bloggers out there would want to loose those extra pounds off for their new year resolutions!!!

AND every year, without fail, there will not be enough food for everyone!

and you freaking paid $20.00 for such an event, and you were given some low standard food catering, where you can jolly well add another $3.00 where you can have all you can eat buffet at Seoul Garden!

what i can’t stand is when these inconsiderate people, alarmingly would invite the whole family to the station. if you invite your wife, kids or maybe parents, i guessed its relatively fine lah. right?

but must you invite like the whole FAMILY from the nieces to the nephews, uncles and aunties kind? like ONE whole HARI RAYA family gathering kind?!?!?! just because you paid like what, $20.00 freaking dollars, you can INVITE your WHOLE family issit? so stupid and act like a complete cheapo!!!

and YES, of course, there a few who would ‘parade’ their so called girlfriends. all these MATS with their super minah girlfriends! of course!!!… they MUST and SHOULD bring their girlfriends. after all, the minahs would love to ogle at more MATS what?!?!?!

i came this close to be the first responder for a trapped case this morning! apparently, i was supposed to go for this nasty accident, where the car hit another car and the passenger was so badly injured that he had to be extricated by special forces! so you see the 2 sides of my organization, the MEDICAL team and the FIRE rescue team. i love when we are activated together. its like such a show off, adrenaline rush.

everytime when the fire side and the medical team are activated for cases together, we will be so rowdy, loud and will make such a huge HOO HAH!… show off lah katakan!!! wahahahhahahahahaha

anyway, i was glad i didn’t go for that case. :p

breakfast was at killiney today. its official! killiney is like my favorite place for breakfast!!!

the ‘LOUNGE’ was just perfect! slightly warm, but it was cossy and nice.
my 3 x-rascals, who had completed their national service made their asses down.
i was so deliriously happy to see them!!!… it was like those good old times back then, when we were so close together. i really missed them like crazy!!!…
though we were missing AH BOI!!!

we managed to sit, chit chat and conversed with all the stories and the latest gossips, had a few loud laughs along the way. i really missed them lots. with the good food, overly cooked beef’s eye and other sweets and chocolates along the way, we exchanged gifts and presents and soon, zuoyi and i were all ready to work our night shifts.

i’m not quite a fan of buffet. and i will tell you why.
the thing about me is that, no matter how i had hungered myself from the early morning, til the time i had my buffet meal, the only thing i could stomach, is just a few rounds.
and that’s it! i will be flat and out!

sis had booked high tea @ royal plaza on scotts, carousel yesterday. their high tea its highly recommended. they have lots of varieties, from japanese food – sushi, to chinese cuisine and lots of pastries and not forgetting, chocolate fondue.

when i looked at the chocolate mountain fondue, i was kinda turn off by it! wahahahahahahhhaha… i don’t know. i think it made me sick. i doubt i can swallowed another round of fondue.

i don’t usually have rice when it comes to buffet meals. and i will tell you why. rice makes me full easily, and it will be a waste because i can’t really enjoy my other food. my parents attacked the ‘nasi lemak’ session prior to our sitting.

and my dad gave up eating after the 3rd round!!! wahahahahahahahaha… at least i’ve done slightly better!

my mom was so funny yesterday.
i was chatting with my sis. she told me that this would be here last time doing a buffet, and she will hit with her diet and exercise regime once again.
and i was like, it’s okay to spoil yourself silly once a month.

haagen dazs fondue is nothing like any other!!! i mean, seriously! this dessert from haagen dazs is so orgasmic!!! its tempting… ITS definitely some serious wicked indulgence!!!

there are currently 2 different sets of fondue. it depends on what kind of ’side dishes’ you would prefer… those who enjoy more ice creams on the side, should get what buddy and i had some few days back. this entry was so last week!!!

anyway, after indulging on the fondue, it was time for a last minute rush to grab some gifts for my peeps at work. it was practically, just grabbed and go kind. no such thing as, should i get that one, or would it be more practical to get those stuffs instead?…

because i am pretty much a practical person. i like to get gifts that are practical. if you asked me about under garments or briefs, YES, i would rather buy those kind for my peeps. i mean seriously!!!… presents or gifts SHOULD be practical.

last time, my mom asked me to study hard. make sure i read all the encyclopedia my father had bought. but my parents have never laid any path for me to follow. no no. they had never mentioned anything about them, wanting me to be a doctor, magistrate, lawyer or sewaktu dengannye… in fact, my parents have always been quite care free about the decisions i made in life, and how i want my life to be.

but i do regret not pursuing a diploma which i would benefit greatly. if you must know, i ended up taking a diploma in engineering, because i had followed the path of my friends. ENGINEERING is good, they said. can earned lots of money, say another.

so apparently, suffering 3 years in temasek polytechnic, cracking my brains out and trying hard to understand the lectures which i totally dread and getting my diploma in microelectronics, and even till now, i don’t even know what the heck i had studied back then.

that’s why! never follow what your peers want! i should have taken up business studies.

in fact, my dream job is to work in the office, where i would come with my shirt, tie and pants, sitting around my desk and screaming at any personal assistants or secretary to pass me my coffee and newspaper!!! chey… MACAM MANA NYE besar JER!!! chet!

even though i acquired my diploma without ANY glitches, because I AM SUCH a smart ass… NO SUP papers or retention or repeat any module kind what so ever…

working life is a funny deal. the people you meet, known and sometimes those you think you knew, apparently somehow differs from your perception. at times, when you seek for good things, it comes out bad. you can start out SUPER freaking on a high mode…

well like by many people, receives tons of praise and good quality to make you a good working adult.. but, when you start on top, and you hit your mark and you can no longer stay on that level, what if it comes crashing down???…

anyway, yesterday night after our day shift, an unexpected call from ‘a source that should not be mentioned‘ spoiled the whole mood and since josh was the affected soul, keng/siong decided that we came over to his crib and chill.

though i was concerned about josh well being and his state of mind, keng/siong told me that its best to leave josh alone. he said at times, we need to be with ourselves.

i felt quite bad that i wasn’t able to cheer josh up. even though the night could be better, with all the laughters and jokes, i just wish that the bad news was not delivered yesterday. it just spoil everyone’s mood.

there is this new trainee… don’t want to mention the person’s name.
anyway, this trainee, is training to be a paramedic. LIKE ME!!!… who is ALREADY a paramedic…

training to be A paramedic, not that easy okay!!! it takes 1 and half bloody years to complete!!! after that, if you passed, then you can go inside the ne nor ne nor ambulance and attend to any emergency or those not the emergency cases, which we ALWAYS go for… i meant, the NON emergency cases…

so here i was, kepoying ( being a busybody ) and asked the trainee, why you WANT to become a PARAMEDIC?!?!?!?

” OH… because I have the passion to save lives and want to help people… “

so then, the trainee asked me, why I BECAME a paramedic in the first place… and i was like, YOU REALLY want to know???…. and the trainee looked at me, with such EAGERNESS on the face… and i replied…

” because in 2003, after i completed my NATIONAL service… I WAS desperate for a job… DESPERATE for a good pay… and what do you know?… SCDF was my calling… they WERE desperate to hire me… since they HAD shortage of PARAMEDICS then… so out of desperation for EVERYONE… I became the desperate paramedic… “

and that is my TRUTHFUL answer… i’m dead serious… I WAS THAT desperate!!! but looking back, i still could not recall the answer that i gave to the 3 people who had interviewed me… i didn’t know why i wanted to become a paramedic…

it was not until this year, when this MALAY uncle, complained of chest pain, and he suddenly collapsed in front of my face… and had no pulse and stop breathing, and i gave him a SHOCK from my machine and he actually came back with a pulse, breathing and even started talking at the hospital that i had sent him, i realised…

yes… THAT was why i wanted to be a paramedic…

and when the doctors and nurses at the resuscitation room told the uncle, that i had somehow saved his life by giving him the necessary electrical shock to his heart, i saw the uncle, giving me a grin and smiled which i would never forget…

and i told myself… THIS is the kind of cases which I HIGHLY anticipated….
AND THIS is why i wanted to be a paramedic…
even when i keep complaining that work sucks and is boring…

maybe its because, i’m so immune to those kucing kurap cases, that somehow, many cases that i attend too, doesn’t seem to give me any form of an adrenaline rush… its so stale and mundane…

so i met up with ah boi just a few nights ago. yes… i’ve been going out for dinner out of late. mommsy is not really that happy because i have been going out FOR dinner these past few days. i do miss her cooking – terribly. but i have not met up with ah boi for the longest time. and since his exams are over, and currently he is on holiday, i had to meet up with this X NS medic of mine!!!

i do still keep in touch with my X national service men who had completed their NS. well, not all, but i do keep in touch with those i’m very much close too… and ah boi is one of them… so that few nights ago, during dinner i was practically ranting over work and stuffs. i pity him actually. HAVEN’T seen me for so long, and here I WAS… RANTING and BITCHING about WORK!!! wahahahahhahahhahahaha

i’m so proud of him! i mean the things that he had accomplished even though that he’s only and undergraduate, i am just amazed.

we had dinner at fiq and olive at vivo city and i thought it came with a 10 % discount since i was swiping my citibank card, but apparently you have to use the ‘touch’ screen thing to get the 10 % discount!!! LOOSER!!! i hate not being able to use my ‘priviledge’ when i dine!!! i mean, WHO WANTS to pay the 10% service charge when you can get 10% discount from your card??!?!?!??!?!?!?!

wahahahahahhaha…

anyway, i was updating on the current issues 2.0 regarding my workplace. issue 1.9 was so over rated!!!… here i was bitching about people at work, and i was telling him those period of times when we had the best time of our lives… i really missed those good old times i have. i mean, it was so much simple and though there were quite a few politics along the way, but it seems that everyone managed to be civil and get along with one another.

i have a small problem myself, but somehow i refused to address it. i mean, there are certain issues relating to work which i would rather be oblivious about it… hehehehehehhehe…

but it felt good telling ah boi about it, since he’s practically neutral over it, since he had already left his ass from our work place… sometimes, i do envy him. i mean, i love my people at my workplace. and i guessed, he missed some of them too. but at least, he does not need to go back and get suck up to the politics and stuffs.

i on the other hand, am still dragging my sorry ass to my work place, and have to handle all these stupid crap stuffs and annoying issues.

ps : for your information, as you are reading this, my ass and I on the other hand, is currently serving members of the public… with their stupid stomach pain, flu virus symptoms and those nonsense pathetic calls… * bluergh *

last 2 nights ago… which happened a few nights back, yours truly met up with buddy keng/siong and my confidant joshua for dinner… actually, me and keng/siong had pasta at this ‘ sketches ‘ at bugis first, and then we picked up joshua, who had to slave himself to work, because he had to work, and yours truly was on leave!!!

WAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA… i was laughing my heads off seeing my fellow colleagues working!!! but then again, thursday and friday, my ass and i will be back on the ambulance!!!… * bummer *

anyway, for those who have been reading this blog faithfully, will know that i usually will rant something which is essential to everyone’s reading. well NOT all the time, but i guessed, you can say that its worth reading…

hahahahaha… so here i was, being psycho by buddy to queue up for this retarded looking puffs – chewy junior that was currently opening its stall at bugis mall’s basement. YOU WILL be able to find the store for sure… next to the many ATM machines there!!!

anyway, new paper had done a review on chewy junior. THEY CLAIMED that it is the NEXT big thing and donuts are so yesterday!!
so MOVE ALONG donut factory… say HELLO to chewy JUNIOR??!?!?!

but wait!!! before you get all EXCITED and hoping to get a taste of the puffs, this is my HONEST opinion on the chewy junior.

apparently, they had quite a queue when we bought them. 6 pieces of different flavors of chewy juniors cost $6.50 and if you buy 12 pieces, it will cost you $12.00!!! so they have all different flavors, 3 different kind of chocolates ones, got apple, strawberry, cheese, blueberry, coffee toppings and not forgetting the original ones.

so i bought like 6 chewy juniors… and i ate one and shared the rest with my rascals at work. since i was kind enough seeing them suffering and need to work, while i was like, YOU KNOW, on LEAVE!!!… so i thought why not be a bit generous and bought them something. SO SWEET right?!?!?!?!

so i tried the coffee musli crunch, since i like coffee… and it was really chewy lah!!! and there is a cream inside the puff, and it will ooze inside your mouth!!! very unique taste i might add… but i think, if its a bit warm, the taste will be like so much better!!!…

since i only tried the coffee, i don’t really know how the other flavors taste like… but i did took a bite from buddy’s double chocolate madness… the taste is like OKLAH!!! not really chocolaty and creamy like i’ve expected… but one of my rascals claimed that the oreo one tasted very nice!!!

but for MY opinion, i love my donut factory more… give me DONUTS from donut factory, and i will be happy… though chew junior has a very unique taste to it… chewy and very chewable… wahahahahahahahhaahhahaha…

fyi, this happened in the morning…

i planned to go swimming, before meeting ah gurl… so here i was, looking at the clouds… seemed promising… not going to rain, i was hoping… a bit cloudy… so,
i was all geared up… paid my $1.00 entrance fee… barely touching the pool water… it started to drizzle…

NEVER MIND!!! i told myself…

so i was doing my 1st lap, and came to my 2nd lap, the RAIN kept pouring like madness i tell you!!! it was like, RAINING cats and dogs!!!… and the lifeguard started to blow his whistle and forced us out of the pool!!! NA BEI!!! not even half and hour and my ass was not even burning the fat AND i was FORCED to leave!!!

THAT’S IT!!! DECEMBER is bad month to go swimming!!!

so here i was, caught in the rain, and worst still – no umbrella… and don’t start with the rihanna – umbrella song… so CORNY!!! wahahahahahahahha

oh yes… so here i was, dragging my wet hair, wet t-shirt, and wet pants to ah gurl’s house!!! hhhmmmm.. luckily my boxer was still DRY!!! * phew *
and that stupid ah gurl was still sleeping!!! i was hoping that she could bring an umbrella, so that i wouldn’t be so wet!!! right or not?!?!?!?

oh yes. back to what happened last week. here i was, attending to a case at ORCHARD road, one of the busiest shopping mall this month, and as i was searching high and low for my patients, my eyes were darting every where… well, i was still searching for my patient,but my eyes were darting at the SALES signs as well… wahahahahahahahahhaha… so here i was trying hard to look for my patient, and ironically the a**hole could not be found!!! its a case of false call!!!…

stupid right!!! asked me to go all the way to Orchard Road, expecting for some good calls to show OFF my skills and in return, no one actually dial 995! some one making some prank calls!!! so here i was making my ass back to my ambulance, when my cell phone rang… and i was like,

the irony part of you know trying very hard to keep fit, and not putting on the necessary pounds or kilos or the weights, would be easier, if i don’t eat out too much… wahahahahahaha…

and i believed that i had said this, you should have at least once a week where you can eat anything you want… it is also called a cheat day… but i believed, my cheat days are almost every other day!!! wahahahahahah… but you know what?… i never even gain ANY pounds or kilos for that matters!!!

after watching enchanted with buddies keng/siong and joshua, not forgetting leslie, the 3 of us drove to pasir ris, at the fish pond to have satays, ice teh for supper.

after our flu jab, zuoyi, faiz and i went to ministry of food at marina square to have japanese food!!!

so yes, practically, that was pretty much it… a week of endless cheat DAYS… wahahahahahahahahahha… and i never gain a single pounds or kilos… my secret?!?!?! whatever you eat, you must know how to let it go…

and no!!! i don’t mean induced vomiting… or eating laxatives to keep you from shitting… no no no…

its CALLED burning the CALORIES off!!! how? i do it by running. usually, when i’m working day shifts, and i know that i will eat outside later during the evenings, i try to cut down on my carbs. because CARBS, i don’t care what you read in the health mags or newspaper article or whatever WILL MAKE YOU FAT!!!

CARBS ARE BAD!!! well not all carbs are bad… but if you want to know about good carbs and bad carbs, you can google it…

if you don’t burn those CARBS, it will make you FAT!!! so yes… i don’t eat carbs and even when i’m having my dinner, i will eat all those meat and protein based, without any carbs… when i was eating at fish and co, i passed my fries to my friend.

and, when i was eating at the japanese restaurant, i ordered a fish based with no rice…

i only indulged in carbs when i was at east coast, eating the maggie goreng, because i know that i need those when i go for my running the very next day!

actually, i think this diet works pretty well for me. now a days, i don’t eat rice. i can eat my mom’s cooking of her fish curry or beef spicy sauce or whatever with no rice. i just substitute it with wholemeal bread, which is fine with me.

and when i go out with my friends, i always end up with those meals that have beef, fish or chicken and i just ignored the carbs like potato, rice dumplings or rice or whatever that has the WORD carbs in it.

i only eat carbs when i know that i can burn them off the very next day… so yes. i guessed i know what works for me if i don’t want to gain any weight…

and yes despite that, i still run my ass off every off days!!! run my ass off as running for a good 60 minutes or more…
why? so that i can eat more lor!!! there are certain carbs that are just too irresistible to let go you know!!!
wahahahahahahhahaha… more cheat days!!!

as i was having my starbucks some other day with my beautiful people at work, i was left ’stoned’ for a while… nah! its not the caffeine that was kicking in… i hardly stay quiet in one sitting. i will probably have lots to say… so when i’m all quiet and stoned for a while, it means that i’m thinking…

and here i was reading an article on the newspaper, stating that the low income people are struggling very hard to make ends meet. especially when the GST hike started. they had to stop purchasing things that does not matter. they save up their money and spent on things that they really need.

and here i was sitting down, thinking to myself, do i really need to spend any more stuffs for my year end bonus? even if its the christmas’ sale? i mean, there are things that i really wanted to buy. like a brand new watch, or a pair of new shoes. but to think about it, do i really need a new watch and a new pair of shoes?

my mind’s a mess! wahahahahahahah. its just that, i’ve been saving up here and there, and i really want to do a bit of shopping. i don’t shop constantly every month. so here i was, feeling all the guilt in the world, reading about those low income people struggling to make ends meet, and me, thinking of what to buy and how to spend it on my bonus.

but that was yesterday… caught it with keng/siong, joshua and leslie at vivo city… it somehow made me feel a tinge of dissatisfaction in a certain ways… i dunno… maybe those who caught stardust will know how it feels like, to have a certain expectation with enchanted… oh well… fantasy and fairy tale don’t mix they say… moving along…

today, i met up with the best friend… adlios amigos…

okay, i meet up with the best friend, quite frequent… i mean, we know each other since we were like in secondary school. but today’s OUTING, is definitely worth blogging about!… he fetched me after doing his reservist this morning, and we drove to this nissan car workshop to have his car maintenance which took 4 bloody hours!!!

so desperate to kill time, we decided to hitch a bus and landed at orchard road, and decided to catch Full Of It… this story is like so bloody lame actually… this 17 year old short guy, happens to be unpopular, so he decided to lie about his life… saying his mom is an artist, his father a rock star and he had a porsche for a car… and he used to have a teacher back in his old school who had an ultimate crush on him and stuffs…

and then, apparently, it came true… all the lies he created CAME true… then he realised that it was not as pretty it seems to have all the lies that he created which had come true… so you guys figured the ending…

anyway… after we were done with the movies, coffee and cheesecake, the best friend drove us to SENTOSA and guessed what we did?!?!!?

we actually took this woobly chair that goes up the hill and being hang up on top of the air, which of course, was balanced quite strongly with cables that were being pulled by those machines… not that i mind actually… BUT I AM ACTUALLY a scary CAT!!!

i’m quite scared of heights… NOT REALLY, really scared of heights… but i’m not a fan of heights… but i guessed, everyone has to overcome his fears somehow right??… so i decided to give it a shot, even though my heart was beating so fast, and my legs felt like jelly…

though i was nervous, but i managed to look so COOL…

reading blogs of those people who had run the standard chartered run yesterday, be it the 10 km, 21 or the full marathon, had left me bitter and sour!!!

well, i didn’t get my leave that i had applied earlier. there’s a few hiccups on our roster, and this month december, i was allowed to clear 1 day of leave only!!! 1 pathetic DAY!!! HOW IS THAT possible!!??? i will be so working my fat ass off this holiday… a season to be jolly and spending money like crazy!!! BONUS babe!!! BONUS!!!

on a relatively, not sour mode, i ran as i never run this morning! i woke up bright early, and started running a comfortable pace. i so wanted to make up for not running yesterday. my mind was set to run a good 2 hours plus plus, but it came to a point where it gets pretty bored, because most of the runners this morning were aunties and uncles, and a lot of those housewives and retired uncles, earning their CPFs.

the only reason that i can come up with, as to why not many young and gorgeous runners are running today is because, they had participated on a run of their lifetime yesterday, so today is practically their rest days or they are slaving themselves at work!!!

wahahahahahahahahahhahhaha

so, i decided to stop running, after a good 90 minutes plus of running. so boring!!! not any good looking people in sight!!

i don’t care… next year, i will try my very best to go for all the runs that are being held. if they don’t give me LEAVE, i will throw MC!!! wahahahahahahahahahhaaahha

how does it feel to turn 24?…
i can’t recall much actually.
maybe because, at the age of 24, i have already set my mind,
to serve members of the public,
to render first aid and emergency cases in singapore.
well, that usually happens once in a while…
as usual, my cases are those very kucing berkurap cases… (cats with fleas)

so my emo buddy had turned 24 on 25th of november… and we had a small dinner gathering at east coast to have seafood!!!… its been quite a long time since i had seafood… usually i have high expectations when it comes to seafood -
food or dishes or specials or sewaktu dengannye… wahahahahahhahahah

especially the chilli crabs!!!

keng/siong made reservation prior dinner, but we were surprised that we still had to wait for our table to be set and ready! the worst part was, the queue was alarming long! so i had expected the food to be super freaking, fabulously – delicious!!!…

but apparently, i was a bit disappointed because i’ve tasted ‘better’ seafood else where. the chilli crab was sweet, and was not spicy enough. i wanted to take pictures of the food that we had ordered, but i was apparently hungry since i didn’t eat anything before dinner.

anyway like i mentioned, the food was relatively alright. it was nothing fantastic. we had a few laughs along the way and as you can see, i happened to be invited for dinner from another team. my buddy is from team 3 and since i was on leave, i was able to make my presence.

up till we finished dinner, i still do not know what they hype was about at Jumbo Seafood. the queue was alarming long, it was hugely packed with foreigners and locals… but to me, the food was somewhat – normal.

and here i was, hoping that certain news will not get me emotionally affected.
but when i heard about the news regarding the 5 dragon boaters from singapore, where the bodies were recovered after an accident involving a 22 dragon boaters’ team in cambodia.

and it is ironic, because through out my service in the force, i managed to see a body of a drown victim and up till now, the image of the deceased still lingers in my head. its not about how cyanosed or bluish in color the body was, or how the presentation of the body appeared. but the after math of one’s family member to pluck up that courage to identify the body.

i still remember the parents face, when i was at the scene. it was always heart breaking, and i feel for the 5 family members of the 5 dragon boaters. it is never easy… and it has never been easy to accept death in such manner.

i hoped they have the strength to pull it together. because it breaks my heart, just reading the news and knowing what it felt like, the emotions and the strength to accept the truth and identifying the bodies…

i have a very weird hair!!!…

my hair will be so easy to style… and does not need much of a hassle…

but when it gets FREAKING retarded and refused to obey my wax and my comb…
it gets really IRRITATING!!!

i have a very complex hair… so complex that i find it super irritating… its NOT VERY STRAIGHT… its not VERY wavy… its NOT very soft and silky smooth… BUT ITS not dry either…

so yes… when they talked about bad hair day, even guys with short hair style got bad hair day… i hate it when my hair is like freaking frizzy and very hard to style… you feeling me???… wahahahahahhaha

usually, when my hair behaves very nicely to me, its OWNER… i tend to look EXTRA good in my camera pictures!!! WAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA…

but when my hair is LIKE freaking UGLY and very hard to manage, I LOOKED freaking idiotic and not that nice…

there’s so many things i would anticipate, everytime i attend ANY CME lessons. CME lessons is this ‘compulsory’ lessons that we had to attend, every other months, just to update us in our medical knowledge and stuffs. well mostly!!! sometimes the lessons or lectures can be so boring and useless, that most of the time, i would be either

1) falling asleep or

2) start to have a major gossip section!!!

the first thing that i anticipate is to meet up with the rest of my batch mates!!! yes!! well, not necessary the WHOLE 8 of us!!! for your information, there were 10 of us, but 2 had quit the force to pursue their other dreams…

its good enough to see a few of the familiar faces in my batch… i absolutely miss them lots! we were so close back then…

so, i grabbed dear Casey next to me during our CME lecture, and we were equally excited to update on the latest scoops, the hits and the misses that has been going on with the force, our stations and our lives. so yes, it was like a session of :-

” DO YOU know that idiot in my station IS A BITCH!!! ” kind…

” THAT paramedic from STATION XYZ had an AFFAIR with a MARRIED man “…

so yes… it was endless rants with dear Casey and me… i missed her lots… anyway, she’s been rather busy with her school and relationship. i feel that we had somehow loss a connection that we used to have…

and so, it was like,
” I DIDN’T KNOW that??? and really??? ” when we were updating each other…
so we decided… NO… we had to do something together after our lecture… and we decided to have lunch, and do a bit of shopping at IKEA…

so yes, it was lunch and doing a bit of shopping that we often had done during our trainee times that i awfully missed. we had so much to update each other, i felt time was passing awfully fast!!…

we said our goodbyes as casey drove me and my beautiful people zuoyi with herman and dropped us at orchard. her VAN is like SO COOL lah!!!… its like SO CASEY!!! wahahahahhahahahah

i really missed them!!!… i believed that most of us have move on to better things, and had forgotten what we had lost, when we were back in our trainee days…

sometimes, we get influence by people around us. i guessed, its perfect human nature. when someone is like, so outspoken, you tend to feel the need to be noticed, so you feel that you have to be outspoken as well. not necessary for some, but for others, they might follow the crowd. i know i so wanted to write such a long entry for this… but i feel that i should not… because i’ve made a promised to a friend, that it will between the two of us…

a few days back, joshie, keng/siong and me decided to pig ourselves silly. since i was craving for food at east coast, and i had such a strong urge to eat satay, we decided to head off to east coast beach for our dinner. as normal, we ordered all those oily, greasy, bbq food – satay, la la, snails and i can’t remember what else was there…

since you know, i missed out the outing that was held by the makan khakis… * sigh *. anyway, food was awfully great! but we had more balls of laughters that kept our evening a cheerful one. we were telling each other jokes and stuffs, and since i was really bad at telling jokes, i sat and listen as josh and keng/siong tried to out do each other, and see who’s joke was way funnier!!! retarded these 2!!!

anyway, the point of this entry is not about the jokes and everything. its about the DESSERTS that we set our asses too after dinner!!!

okay, i know… what the hell… HAAGEN dazs only want to make such a big hoo har…
okay, whatever!!! before you finally hit the X button, the 3 of us were cracking our head silly because there is this contest for us to name their new desserts, and the lucky winner will get 2 free tickets to paris for the first price, maldives for the 2nd price and bali for the 3rd price…

and LET me tell you… cracking our brains out for nearly 2 hours, just to name the new dessert. and we had to explain in less than 20 words, why we had named that dessert. we came out with so funny names initially.
HOLY spiral lah… the TSUNAMI strikes again lah. The Threesome Madness…

and i was like, this is so DIFFICULT!!! couldn’t we just enjoy the DARN desserts!?!?!?! but the funny part was… after taking a few bites of the delicious brownie with ice cream which was – FABULOUS…

we decided TO ORDER it AGAIN!!! so what do you know?!?!?! we had ordered not one, BUT 2 sets of brownie with ice cream!!!

okay, here comes the BEST part… since we ordered 2 desserts, keng/siong decided to ask for another form so that we could fill in another name for the dessert… I WAS LIKE, NO FREAKING WAY!!!!!…

we took a bloody 2 hours to come up with the first one, and what do you know, we had to name another?!?!?!?!?!?!? * slaps forehead *

but in the end, we did submit 2 forms of the lucky draw!! wahahahahahhahahahahha…

oohhhh.. did i tell you about the BROWNIE and the 2 different chocolate ice cream?!?!?!?

i was craving silly for waffle and ice cream. the word was ‘craving silly.’ if i was not feeling silly, i won’t probably indulge myself for a much sinful breakfast @ killiney’s. furthermore, with my weight in check – lost a good 2 kilos, i thought why not indulge yourself silly.

the last 2 days, were a fruitful one. it was like, bad food indulgence, good company, bad weather, good runs and it was more good stuffs there after…

but never has there any adventure, quite like this…

managed to catch stardust at the cathay cinema, and MAN, this movie is so WICKED!!! i’m not much of a fantasy movie fan, except for harry porter, and so when i’ve heard rave reviews about stardust, i had to see it for myself.

it did deliver! i was so immersed in the movie that you have to catch it to see how this magic works. there were many funny and quirky hilarious moments that left me with many chuckles and most of the movie goers left the cinema with good reviews.

i absolutely love it!!! claire danes was so hot in that movie!!!

those who are not a fan of those fantasy tales or magical stories, i can assure you, this movie is like nothing you can possibly imagine. i mean, ROBERT di NERO, playing a captain of a flying ship!!! and he was so darn hilarious!!!

not forgetting, michelle pheiffer as the wicked witch… she was so darn hot… well, innitially… up till she used up her powers and became old, ugly and sick looking… wahahahahahahhahahaha…

and the hero in the movie… he was so darn nerdy and geeky initially, but somehow he managed to grow some hair through out the movie process, and he looked quite dashing, like those prince in many magical movies.

see the difference?… wahahahhahahah…

and, the ending was unpredictable, though you know, it will be a good ending, but it was unpredictable all the same…
its definitely a good watch!!!

i’m just going with the numbering stuffs… hehehehhehe…
it has nothing to do with how i am feeling at the moment…

1) i am super hyper while at work! i will always have something to add. something to say, some ‘acidic’ and sarcastic remarks to fuel at my fellow colleagues and beautiful people. i will just cry mother cry father and scold them when i feel like it. but when i scold them, it means that i cared… and usually, my voice is the first thing they hear in the morning… as well as the first thing when they wake up from their sleep prior to our night shift! wahahahahahahahahahha

2) even though i’m hyper and super sarcastic, i’m very timid when it comes to members of the public. be it the security officers, the passerby or the people across the streets. i will somehow mellow down and really, really watched what i said and do. i don’t really talk back to them, even though they shout and scream at me… i’m allergic to members of the public. i can be very nasty and sarcastic to my people at work, but when it comes to members of the public, i became a scary cat!

3) when i go totally quiet and silent, my beautiful people from my team will somehow feel something is a miss. cos i’m hardly quiet, even for a minute. so when i stay quiet and silent for a while, they know that i’m pissed at something, or i’m just being tired or being difficult. the thing about my team is that, the whole lot of us can talk non stop. we have so much to say to each other… so when i go all quiet, usually they get a bit worried.

4) when i’m quiet, there is always something that kind of upset me. usually, it will take me less than an hour to figure it out, and i’m back to my hyper and zesty self. but if i’m really, really down with so much sadness, i can go blue the entire shifts.

5) the worst part when i’m upset or turned really quiet is that, no one would actually know what is going on. usually i will tell them i am tired. but most of the time, they don’t really know why i’m being so darn quiet and irritating. irritating because i didn’t want to talk. and why i appeared less hyper than the original self.

usually, i don’t really share my problems with my people at work. i am like that. there is a certain rule that i always follow. what ever problems that you have, regarding your family or relationship, it should not be brought to your fellow working colleagues. i don’t know. i have always practice that.

when it comes to work, i will share my work problems with them, but when it comes to my personal life, it has always been a hush hush. i don’t see a point in talking about my love or relationship with my friends at work. its not that i don’t trust them or anything like that.

i just feel that in life, there is a certain thing that you would have to leave it private. there is no point that you share so much to everyone, just like A PARTICULAR someone, who enjoys sharing and manipulating people about ‘his/her’ life, that it has come to a point where you just feel that there is nothing else that ‘ i need to know about you ‘ kind.

no matter how moody / quiet or behaving rather erratically quiet,

my x rascals asked me out for coffee.
i was feeling a bit apprehensive. like i used to mention, sometimes it takes A LOT of chemistry for 2 people to go out together. i don’t necessary feel at ease going out with any ‘ tom / dick / harry or jane / monica / sally ‘ kind.

i find that my work is getting a tact too boring. before you go, here he goes again, yes, i know you’ve heard it all before. i just can’t stand those ‘ nee nor nee nor ‘ sound. gives me an awful headache! and don’t even start when i get on that stupid ambulance!

i feel like i want to go shopping on my own. i find that shopping alone makes me feel better, even though it might look like i’m sort of a looser. but shopping alone gives you the freedom to roam around, and not having someone to hurry you up or making those endless suggestion that you don’t look good in that and will look better in this kind.

i have given up on a lot of things. sometimes i feel that its better not having high expectations because at the end of the day, it will be devastating if its not met.

at the rate where i am going, i will have to end here. because seriously, i’m beginning to be a bit emo right now. i don’t really know where to stop! i hate it when i’m so freaking emo!!!…

its was practically a shitty day for me. you know when you said, kana sai?…
yes.. that is what happened to me…
i – really kena sai!!!…

i had to transport a patient to my main cot stretcher, when this stupid police man, probably an NSF, had to let go of the bloody canvas… and what do i had to do? i had to support the patient’s weight across my thigh region, and my whole pants was smeared, and soiled with the patient’s bowel output, or what we called, SHIT!!!… NA BEI!!!

i was cursing and swearing, and you should have seen the condition of my pants and myself! not a pretty SITE… the worst case was that, I HAD never bring an extra pair of uniform to work! so what would a desperate working personnel, with no extra uniform do at those desperate time of need? had to take out his whole uniform and do a manual wash.

so here i was, cleaning my soiled pants and my shirt!!! ERK! the smell literally stick to my clothing!!!

but the most sweetest thing that anyone can ever do… especially when you are working as a team, and you are so desperate to really get your mind off things, is that when your NSF, who is like under you, and not having much of an allowance, offered to buy you a cup of coffee.
NOT from any coffee shops or stalls…
but STARBUCKS!!!

STARBUCKS coffee!!! its like, MY FAVORITE all time coffee joint!!! and he bought me a CAFE mocha which I LOVE so much… didn’t know that he remembered that one my favorite drinks, happened to be a cafe mocha!!!!!!!…

THANK YOU mr YI REN… he really made my day… i was overjoyed with the HOT cafe mocha… and it was really a sweet gesture… i mean, like you know… like i’ve mentioned earlier… when an NSF offered to pay you stuffs, surely he had some agenda behind his back… wahahahhahahahaahahhahahahahahhaha….

but it was a nice move…
well, here we were… enjoying our STARBUCKS coffees and we were sitting across the table, gossiping and bitching about the current affairs and the politics alike… and i didn’t even recall of the bad case, that i got my clothing stained with the faeces or the shit alike…

i have a very close bond with my sis. well, we don’t necessary tell each other stuffs and all. but we are pretty much civilised in our own way. i respect her privacy and she does the same. though we were pretty much closer when we were much younger, but as we grow, we happened to share less details with each other. not that i mind, but i find that sometimes, i do feel that we should talk to each other more frequently.

instead of us barely seeing each other, and locking ourselves in our own respective rooms.
anyway, we had our bonding time today, and it is all THANKS to friendster!!!

and so, i was browsing through some of the profiles from friendster and i have to say, SOME people are just full of themselves! maybe they can be quite oblivious about it, but man, reading the captions on their respective pictures, can be quite a turn off. but it was really worth it, because my sister and i were laughing ourselves silly at how those profiles and pictures were written.

i mean the captions for the pictures are there for a reason. maybe to introduce readers or those reading your profiles about a certain picture that you took. not some bullshitting and trying hard to educate how you look and what to look out for! i mean, my goodness! it was so funny at some of the captions that were written, that by the time we had finished with our browsing, i went to my own profile and read my OWN captions taken from my pictures! i was like, my GOD, please do not make me sound like ‘ those people ‘ who thinks highly of themselves.

me and my sis were laughing ourselves silly when we stumbled across this particular friendster’s profile. not only the person have such s.s ( shiok sendiri ) captions, but the person had to upload 100 ++ of HER own pictures!!! no friends pictures, no family, no what so ever!!! beat that!!!

so here i would like to present you, MY OWN version of what i find totally hilarious when i see such captions!!! and i can assure, after reading my entry, I AM SO sure that you will go to your own friendster or facebook and start to change your captions!!!

virgin experience, karaoking with my beautiful people at work on Monday. i didn’t know what to expect, REALLY. cos you know, some people are just too shy shy when it comes to ” LA LA”…
code name for us – karaoking is to go ‘LA LA’..

so equipped with good company, we had dinner at fish and co, and soon made our asses to our karaoke session at cash studio located very near to our workplace, apollo center.

we had few mixers ( orange!! i LOIKE!!! ), crooning off keys, and yes,
definitely a good company.
we had a blast!!!

okay, before you go with all the, ‘ NOT ANOTHER OF THOSE, he goes to the karaoke with his friends shit again… so bore me PLEASE‘ kind… then i guessed, you don’t know me that well.. i don’t go blogging about those boring details, PLEASE!!! wahahahahahaha

ironically, we were having ‘ fun‘ inside the toilet as well. no, not those kind of like peeping tom or any crude stuffs for that matters. but on second thought, we were pretty questionable when we noticed this chinese guy, standing next to the far end of the cubicle, and trying very hard or whatever he was doing, to release himself.

at first we thought, since you know MOST OF us were medically trained, that he was having a serious urinary gland problem or UTI (urinary tract infection) or whatever, since most of us were done relieving ourselves, while he was taking such a long time at his own corner. his trousers was practically down, revealing his very soiled, yellowish underwear.

so after a few hours of our LA LA, i decided to head to the toilet again with Josh since nature was calling, and we were SO SHOCKED to see HIM again!!! same cubicle, but this time round, he was like, “playing” with himself!!! and i was like, what the FUCK??? is he really jerking himself off from the cubicle??? and i got a confirmation with Josh and was certain that the guy was playing with himself.

so we hurried to our karaoke room and noted to the other fellas and the rest of the guys decided to dash inside the toilet as well!!! wahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. you should see how we rushed to the toilet!!!!

and true enough, he was still there, and i thought i saw a HARD ON from his part!!! not a pretty sight, trust me!!! wahahahahahah… and all of us were like, this guy is practically unstable in the brain or something. we planned to call the police, but you know how police function on a brand monday night. probably our fellow friends, (the paramedics) will be activated as well.

let just say, we didn’t want to trouble the men in blues, which we could, but since we know how it will turned out in the end so we decided to let the matter rest!!!

some sick people are so revolting and repulsive!!! i wonder how he managed to find any form of relieve in that form of stimulating himself. is there a ‘ kick ‘ by doing that???

i’ve chosen a mi supernova 2007, for training and good support!!! since you can create your own shoes, you can do all the designs that is totally yours. it means that you own that pair, and you alone!! woo hoo!!! how special is that???

so yesterday, i managed to grab josh, prussel and oliver to accompany me to the Cathay to grab my very own, Mi Adidas shoes!!!

i did an orange color theme with a bit of white, black and gray. so excited!!!

orange is my favorite color if you didn’t know! and guessed what? you can EVEN add your OWN name next to your shoes!!! OKAY, if that’s not COOL, i don’t know what is… but relatively, you have to wait at least 3 weeks or so before the product is finalized!!!

the person who will be tailoring your shoes is this shoe expert which i didn’t remember his name. he will do several tests to see what kind of performance and stability that is needed for your shoes. he will ask you to do a run down where you go all bare footed. as you run, there’s this silver plate on the floor, which will capture your legs’ movement on the computer screen for analysis.

he will go through on the behavior of your run, since everyone has different ways of running. by looking at the graphs and such, he will be able to tell whether you’ve injuries before and how you landed on your legs and such.

which i find SUPER amazing!!! since i’ve injured my right knee, countless of times and he knows it by looking at the graph!!! * opens mouth *

after he had done some perfect measurements for your length, width and side of your legs, he will ask the colors and design that you want on your pair of shoes!!! this one, is the exciting part!!! but you must have a color that you have already have in mind!!! so, he will go through the process and you can either reject the color, or accept it. and you go forward and backwards till you have your perfect customised running shoes!!! woo hoo!!!

last but not least, they will let your wear the pair that is somewhat similar to what you will be owning and you will do the last test run on the treadmill! and after the whole test process, you proceed to the counter to pay your product and wait for at least 3 WEEKS!!!

by that time, i will have a perfect Christmas gift!!! and, hopefully ready for my standard chartered run on december!!!

sometimes, when you read my blog,
me and my friends, colleagues, and the what’s not,
have you ever wondered, how truly closed we are?
just by looking at those pictures, our smiley faces, and those heavily edited pictures,
each and every one of them, whom i would call my friends.

i have to say, i am very much selective when i called my friends – ‘ friends ‘. its not just some label that you can place on someone, just because you have a good working relationship or communication skills with. NO. i don’t necessary regard you as my friend, just because we work together in a team, and we appear to be closed. it takes more than just being good working colleagues to be called as friends.

i don’t necessary called any tom dick or harry my friends. to me, the definition of a friend, is someone who is there, when you need them. someone who is willing to hear you out, give you a listening ear, a shoulder for you to cry on. someone who is there at times when you are happy, but will stick to you, at your saddest times.

if i have to pick those who i would label as friends, i would definitely have a list. like i’ve mentioned earlier, at times, in a working place, a good colleague does not necessarily means he / she will make a good friend, and a good friend does not make a good working colleague either. i would have to add, there are people at my working place, who i’m confident that i would call them, a friend…

someone once told me, that he would not mind picking me up and even meeting me at the very odd hours, if i truly needed his help at that point of time. so far, only 2 friends had caught me cry before, and it was one of my darkest moment. my best friend, adlios was there when i needed someone, and he will always be there, be it good or bad.

and the other person who saw me cried was my x sidekick, when i was having problems with my relationship back then. sometimes, a friend does not necessary need to be there for you, and telling you what to do when you are at your vulnerable side. a good friend, is there to listen to you, and he might or not give you his intake and views about your problems.

so, how do you measure someone when you call him / her your friend? its not that easy. i don’t necessary called my colleagues my friends. i will just introduced them as a colleague from work, or he’s working for my team, or he is my nsf medic… or he’s my driver.

but when a colleague is my friend, i will emphasis,

” this is my friend xyz and he works with me, and we are from the same team… “

like what the old people saying,
‘ a friend in need, is a friend in deed! ‘

i was at 72 kilos at my heaviest, and it was one of those dark period of my life.
and FYI, i’m only standing at 1.68m short.

well, that’s a picture of me and my family ( hari raya 1999 ). i guessed, i can’t really fake my own family now, can i??? wahahahahahah… yes. that was me. no editing what so ever. and hack, if i know how to edit pictures to make me LOOK like that, i would be so happy to edit my pictures and make myself look so much leaner and more good looking for that matters!

i wasn’t born with a skinny, thin genes. and yes, i don’t blame anyone for that matters. but i do have to admit, during those times, when i was * ahem *, i do own a gorgeous smile. i love my smile a lot back then. it was just natural, and seemed so genuine.

i guessed, my point in this entry is that, not many people know how i have struggle with my weight problems since i was like in my late teens ( i just keep piling the weights before i was enlisted to national service ).

the only people who knew, were my family members, my relatives and of course, my very close friends. and not forgetting, the trauma that i had received from my relatives. it was very painful and brutal. so i guessed, i know how a certain blogger feels when she was teased by her relatives.

the name callings, the pinching and the hurtful remarks. yes, i’ve been through those dark period of my life. why do they pick on me? i guessed, i was the only ‘BIG’ size in my family. that is the reasons why i don’t fancy meeting my relatives during Hari Raya. seeing them, and knowing how they had ridiculed me back then, it was something that i would rather skip or ignored completely.

that is why i am posing this question to a personal someone.
would you LOVE me if i look anything like my previous self? i know its not a fair question, but hack, it does serve a purpose to me.

anyway, i did what MR MALIQUE had taught during his :

though i have to admit, i am not really THAT GOOD yet. i don’t really know how to blend my legs for the 1st and 2nd clone respectively… hehehehehehe. but i guessed, its a good practice! so thanks to MR MALIQUE, i learned something new!!!

and by the way, i’m not really good at editing my very own pictures. yes, i can clear up my pimples, and i can make my face less shiny. its simple really. all you need to use is the ‘blur’ tool… that’s pretty much i can do.

if i can really edit my pictures so darn well, i won’t mind adding more lean meat in there!!! wahahahahahahahahha.

so for those of you guys who are heading towards fitness, i can assure you,
it will be a step worth taking.
though the process can be slow, and leaves you with a few aches and such,
but trust me, its worth it.

leading a healthy lifestyle has never make me feel good about myself.

i can’t hardly find a movie buff who enjoys a relatively good movie, without those ‘blockbuster’ hype – except for jerry. oh, by the way, where are thee, JERRY???

so when keng/siong and i decided to catch a movie, i was relentless indecisive over the selections of movies being shown in the theaters.
not many good movies, don’t you think?

so, i was reading reviews after reviews, and a movie that caught my attention was LARS and the Real Girl.

i have to say, after reading good reviews on the internet, i was pretty excited to catch this movie. though on some level, i won’t dare to say when it comes to keng/siong. i didn’t think he would enjoy this kind of dark comedy with humor but added with a tinge of sadness in between.

yes, this movie has its laughs, but also an emotional ride that leaves me, with nothing but praise after the movie. it was alarming to know that keng/siong enjoys the movie as well. the movie somehow plays a certain depth and creates a certain feeling of pondering and wondering how its going to end. the movie was highly received by movie goers, critics and audience. it was really a good movie. really keeps you feel a tinge of warmth after you watch it.

go watch it! its really deep and very moving. * tears *

anyway, with a good late lunch and not forgetting desserts later, i had decided to drop by to meet up with my beautiful people at work. yes. I AM NOT working!!! i was on leave and it never felt so good! i enjoyed my every moment when i am on leave. really brings out the goodness in you, because you don’t have to worry about all the nonsense calls and work related issues.

i couldn’t come with an empty hand, now could i? so i decided to pay lau pa satt a visit and bought satays for my peeps.

though i didn’t stay that long, which i really wanted too, but time was really not on my side. we caught a rather late timing for the movie, and the time had to strike midnight and we had to leave the premise, since i had plans in the morning.

i wished we could have catch an earlier movie timing, so that i could spend more time with my peeps. its not easy to gather zuoyi, joshua and me together in one sitting at work. i do missed talking and having those light chats that always ends up with lots of laughters.

anyway, our late lunch was at basil alcove, located at prinsep street. the dish was nicely decorated and the food was simply delicious! it was VERY nice! since i was heavy on carbs for the past few days ago, i ordered a salmon with no fries or rice!! wahahahahahahahah

i have been an emotional rack recently. when i started to listen to malay songs, it means that i’m feeling freaky emo at the moment! i was downloading malay songs that i could find in the internet!!!

i’ve eaten bad carbs for 3 whole days straight, last week!!!
that’s like FATAL suicide when it comes to my health regime plans…
and no, i have never indulge in more carbs like these…
CARB days are usually reserved strictly on weekends.

the bad thing about having too much bad carbs for the whole 3 days straight is that,
after you stop eating them, you will feel a certain ‘hunger’ that sends straight to your brain that tells you, that you need carbs!!!

i hate that feeling!!! that is why, i tried to limit my carbs intake and only take good carbs so that i won’t have those hunger ‘pangs’…
that’s it!!!

one of my abang drivers from my station, abang rosman invited us to his open house. there were like so many GOOD, but of course, sinful food!!! spaggetti, ketupat and lontong, rendang and all the sauces and other dishes. it was so good!!! i was carbs hungry for almost a week!!! so it was like, MY GOODNESS, the carbs hungry pangs was so overwhelming!

hari raya visiting with my siolz friends. oh my goodness!!! the CARBS just keep coming in!!! i had mee goreng, mee hoon goreng, and all those fried food… and we even have a delicacy when we visited sharifah’s house.

her mom cooked shark’s fin soup!!! it was like, SO NICE, can???!!!
i had 3 SERVINGS / BOWLS!!! it was THAT GOOD!!!

not forgetting one of my beautiful people at my workplace, FAIZ had his open house also on that day. he was serving beef NASI BRIYANI, with chicken, dal, and the sewaktu dengnnye…
sinful. definitely sinful!!!

i had a date with the red slurping ape!!! wahahahahha… it was none other than my emo buddy, keng/siong. we had dinner after we ended our day shift, since i was covering his team on that day.

well, we had to order fried stuffs and of course mee kway teow, oily, fried and lots of bad carbs…
AND, not forgetting this MANGO dessert KING thing… SO SWEET with lots of SUGAR!!!
so yes. technically speaking, i am heavy on carbs and now i’m having the hungry pangs…
damn!!!

and of course, the weighing scale shows that i am a good 2 kilos heavier…
so, more GYM,
more EVENING runs,

my friends queried, why i don’t talk about my job, as in the cases that i’ve attended or those ambulance calls that i had received or whatever that is related to the ‘ ne nor ne nor ‘ 995 calls… i don’t like talking about the cases that i attended. and furthermore, i think its not very safe for me to do so… in case you might not have wondered, i do have A LOT of SCDF readers, springing out from all across the island…

you might not know this, but when i’m approached in hospital, by NSF medics from other stations or trainees, even nurses and the sewaktu dengannye, and claiming they read my blog, I WILL BE like so freaking embarrassed because of the much nonsense rants from my blog!!! wahahahahahahahahahaha

and once, someone told me that i am quite popular because a lot of people have been reading my blog, so you might not know this, but i’ve changed my blog’s URL 4 times already, because of the intense pressure and embarrassing moments!!!… wahahahahhahahahaha

but now, i just don’t mind… YOU WANT TO read my blog, go ahead. i can’t stop you. furthermore, i don’t discussed the birds and the bees about my cases that i attended to. and i don’t really feel the need to do so. and furthermore, since i’m quite popular,

i can’t help it if i’m easily recognized…

i was talking to some of the seniors at my workplace, and we were talking about discipline and the lack off, from our NSFs boys – the boys that are serving their national service. are they lacking in discipline, are they really slacking and are they happy serving their national service in our workplace. because it has come to a point where some paramedics are quite uncertain about whether certain punishment is questionable or justify.

i told one of the seniors, i don’t give a FUCK (excuse my language) when it comes to disciplining any MEDICS. i have a strict rule that i adhere. i mean, even those who ARE like the golden medics through my time, like AH BOI and my first sidekick, yew ming, had a hard time with me. i mean, when i’m really pissed, i’m pure evil.

there was once, i remembered, i scolded AH BOI, who was the SENIOR and about to finish his national service in front of his juniors and i didn’t even feel the need to apologize for my action. if you did something wrong, i will definitely NOT give you face. i don’t keep it, i will just say it out loud, even in front of your fellow peers. but i do so tactfully lah! i mean, i will scold in general, in front of my OWN team… not cry mother cry father with all the other teams around… that one, so unprofessional!

so i don’t really give a fuck whether i’m well like or whatever after i’ve punished them. you did something wrong, and you know you did it, so when you received those kind of harsh treatment, don’t give me that sour, foul attitude. i won’t buy it lor. and i don’t give a damn. i am like that when i’m at work. during work, everything has to be in tip top condition. if you don’t iron your clothes, and your appeal simply disgust my eyes, i will personally tell you off!

i can’t stand my medics looking all un kept and their clothes not iron! it shows how you can’t be bothered to take care of your own self, so how are you going to treat your patients? that is why, when a medic was punished to do a weekend duty and had to be confined because he keeps coming late, unshaven, and not ironing his clothes, to me that punishment is so justifiable!!! if it was me, i will be even harsher!!!

after being a section commander since my army days and up til now, i feel that whatever sort of discipline you instilled in your men, its not a form of punishment that is un justifiable. you do so to benefit the person so that he can learned. but if he does not, than to bad lor, give him more punishment!

but i believed in giving chances as well. i’m not really an evil person after all!!! i don’t go around punishing people for their small little mistakes… hehehehhehehehe…

i was reading and browsing through lots of melayu blogs. i kinda have to admit.. i have a lot of malay bloggers on my favorite list.. dunno why also… not that i mind or complaining, but i guessed, this time round, too many raya visiting and many festive photos springing across on every continents of the blogging world…

itu itu jugak!!! naik jelak pulak… wahahahhahahahahaha

and so, i was browsing and i was reading this blog entry which was interesting, cos the writer wrote that she didn’t feel the need to ask forgiveness from some people she met at her relatives’ houses or sewaktu dengannye… i feel the same way too…

for those who have to know, during our hari raya, we are WAJIB to ask forgiveness from the people that we came in contact with… whether its our uncle, auntie, father, mother and all the human beings that we came acrossed. but sometimes, i feel that its all about the motion and not being sincere about it. some people just ask forgiveness for the sake of doing it. like, going with the flow…

so people just come straight to your face, and uttered ” selamat hari raya.. maaf zahir batin.. kalau terkasar bahasa ker, halal kan makan minum semua… “

like whatever!!! the asking forgiveness scrip is like plastered to my brain already, that i can say it even in my sleep… but i do asked forgiveness, as in truly when it comes to my mom and dad!!! that one, is a must lah!!! i think, i have DOSA with them, awfully a lot in the months or so.

so must asked forgiveness for all of my sins…

but for some relatives, i totally say it so that i can get through for the next visiting to other relatives’ houses. its like, yar, i’m asking for your forgiveness, so let’s move on… see you next year, so that i can ask forgiveness again kind… like what the fish??? i hardly see you, why should i ask for your forgiveness!!!

so robotic! i totally don’t like to practice this asking for FORGIVENESS thing during the festive season. its so plastic and so scripted… its not even sincere and please, its all for show MOST of the time. i mean, come on… do you guys really mean every word that you said when you ask forgiveness from your aunts/uncles or cousins alike???

i’m sure most of you just feel that is just a custom and its going with the flow… even kids can say it, BUT at least they get a GREEN packet to go with it…

i had an interesting conversation last night. i was asked by my emo buddy, what if he had completed his national service, and after he had settled and acquired a well paying job with high salary, and he decided to forget about his experience in his NS life, and stopped any form of communication with the people there.

he told me that i should sms him or try to contact him from time to time… and i told him, it does not really matter about whether we will keep in contact or not, but i guessed, in a way, i have always practice that with my x rascals, even after they had completed their ns.

i told my emo buddy, if one way or another, he had decided to severe ties with whatever experience he had while serving his national service, and had decided to forget about all the people he had come in contact with, i personally cannot stop him. furthermore, they are serving their national service. its not about making promises that you will be friends, even after you have completed your NS. though i do admit, that i will feel quite sad and disappointed if my fellow NSF guys who had somehow built a certain ‘friendship’ for their stay in the force and started to leave and refused to keep in contact.

but i’m glad that many of my x rascals and i, still keep in contact. though we don’t necessary meet, but it’s nice when i received their sms or greetings and when they came to the workplace unexpectedly.

though i hate to admit this, but i do treat them as friends and it has always been that way since i became a paramedic. though i do practice my own ‘bossy’ way of work and style, but at the end of the day, we are still friends.

yes, its true that when we are working, I AM THE BOSS, and they have to listen to my instructions and order, but when it comes to those times, when we chill and have our moments outside ‘working context’ we are really good friends, who enjoy each other’s company.

i do treasure the friendship we had built, and sometimes i feel a certain sadness when they had to leave the force, especially when they have completed their national service. it’s not because i’m afraid that we will no longer be friends after they had completed their national service. it is a sad feeling of a certain ‘emptiness’ that is no longer there when you go out for any sort of ambulance calls. because, every medics have their own distinctive styles and behavior, and they can never be the same and can never be replaced…
