an email got my attention. how i had lost weight and this particular reader actually read my entries way back in the year 2006 and said that the first thing she noticed was my facial features. she said and i quote :-
” oh you very slim liao. your facial feature so sharp. cannot see fat on your face… “
okay, i was on diet pills, and i went to slimming centres that was sponsored by my god mother!!!…
NOT!!!!!!!!!
for those who have not read my previous archives, in the year 2006 was went i got a serious knee injury. knee injury is a bitch i tell you! so during that time, my doctor or physio therapist, i could not remember who exactly, told me to rest my knee for more than 6 months. so during that ‘period’ of 6 months, yours truly was not working out. i was practically eating my hearts out and even during my off days, i was either watching tv, or surfing the internet and didn’t bother to work out at all!

and i tell you, that was the only period of time where i would eat sinful food and not feeling guilty. because i could not run mah… so i just eat all those junk food and i will just sit and let my fat ass more fat lor… SO FUN!!!…

not until when i realised that my jeans and pants started to feel so tight on my waist and i had alarming gained 6 kilos. i was a healthy 62 – 63 kilos range before and suddenly it shoot up to a 69 – 70 kilos. i told myself, i was 70 on my very ‘fat‘ days and 69 on my ‘skinny‘ days… wahahahahahahhahahha… it did boost my morale just a bit lor!!!… wahahahah…

anyway, its not until a fellow blogger, LTS started to have her fitness regime and one of my fellow colleagues was doing her exercise regime and i saw tremendous results from both of them, that i decided to play my part in keeping myself healthy also.
i guessed i was lucky that i had a wake up call that i needed to loose that extra weight off. so during the month of October 2006, i started to have the TAF prog under one of my categories. it was never easy during the first few months. it was relatively hard.

my friends told me that its easier for me, because i’m quite athletic and previously i was quite a fitness freak. maybe they are right in a sense, but ANYONE can be a fitness freak. it just takes a few effort and discipline. i’m not saying that when you start your fitness regime you should start REALLY REALLY fast and work you asses off! don’t lah!!!… you should start at your own pace and progress further.
and yes, you will gain a bit of weight during those process, but don’t fret! its quite normal. sometimes, when you do gym, the fat will turn to muscle, and sometimes you gain muscle mass instead of fat. so yes, you will see that you gain a few pounds, but you will definitely see results.
anyway, for those whose resolution is to loose weight this year, my personal tip and advice is, never say YOU cannot do it. don’t be shy to go jogging or enrolling to gym facilities. people who are shy will never achieve anything. anyway, its good to read that many bloggers out there would want to loose those extra pounds off for their new year resolutions!!!
