no amount of wax, gel or clay could make it look nice…
but, no matter what, the party had to go on… 
there was a slight glitch initially. the turkey, the lamb leg and the beef’s eye need to be reheated at my house before dinner was served at the ‘lounge’. apparently, my oven was a bit too small, so we had to drag our asses to buddy’s house and managed to get help. professional help that is!…
interacting with buddy’s father was so whacked! it was so darn hilarious! okay, now i know and fully understand when he said that his old man has a wicked sense of humor. since we were rushing for time, his dad was suggesting that we brought the 2 ovens to the ‘lounge’, where we will be holding the dinner gathering.
and we WERE like, BRING the 2 ovens over?!?!?!? wahahahahahahahahaha…
and his dad was like,
” ITS okay! I do that all the time when i need food to be reheated in the office… “
WAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA…
and he still insisted that we brought the OVENS over to our gathering place…
anyway, after the whole reheating, sweating, and rushing to get the food done, we managed to squeeze just the right time for everyone to enjoy the food and the gathering was a success!!!…
the ‘LOUNGE’ was just perfect! slightly warm, but it was cossy and nice.
my 3 x-rascals, who had completed their national service made their asses down.
i was so deliriously happy to see them!!!… it was like those good old times back then, when we were so close together. i really missed them like crazy!!!…
though we were missing AH BOI!!!
we managed to sit, chit chat and conversed with all the stories and the latest gossips, had a few loud laughs along the way. i really missed them lots. with the good food, overly cooked beef’s eye and other sweets and chocolates along the way, we exchanged gifts and presents and soon, zuoyi and i were all ready to work our night shifts.

this year was the PERFECT Christmas. seeing those familiar faces, the many laughter and not forgetting reminiscence about the past. it was perfect because it was a gathering for my team 4 only.
and that is all that matter on Christmas Day.
