black and white…

(warning, entry erupted with  pictures!!!…)

xmas is coming next month, and the decoration has already been set up,
and i think, this year, the theme is pink.
every xmas tree seems to be either pink or red….

hhhmmmm….
quite unique hor?
i kinda like the pink xmas tree….

you know, having a nice, smart chat with these ladies,
for once, proves to be quite entertaining.

i mean, we hardly sit down and have a clever conversation.
its either we are stuck in a karaoke box room,
or sitting and enjoying some movies.

so, it was nice to struck up certain conversation,
that i often reserved for my other peeps.
i mean come on,
i know them for almost my life.
we were friends since we were in our poly years.
but yesterday, our conversation, was somewhat, special.

we tackled certain issues, like family members,
and how our parents seemed to be role models while we were growing up.
i mean, technically speaking, looking at how my dad brought me up,
and even while i am working, he still bought me stuffs,
like fixing an air con, or a plasma tv for the whole family to enjoy.

we took turns to tell us how our family are special to us in many ways.

i felt that there are things that caught my attention.
there are so much similarities, and at times, it was amazing,
how our parents could still be providing for us and the family,
even though we are working.

i guessed, there are certain things that are still in the gray zone.
you know, not technically black or white.
its how important we look at certain things,
and see how it appears in certain light.

many people love seeing things in colors.
they love how the bright, vibrant colors, fills up a certain scenery.

life is always full of colors.
but sometimes, we have to look at things in black and white as well.
for once, there are times, that we do feel sad and don’t feel appreciated.

but have you ever stop and think,
that our parents are the source of certain colors in our life.
without them, our lives would be in black and white.
our parents colored our lives in many ways.

i know, you guys would add, what about friends???…
yes, but they come later part of your lives, now don’t they?
the first few months of your life,
your parents are the one who showered you with the love,
the care, the warmth, and the protection that you need…

all of these come in forms of beautiful colors…

some parents don’t show their love openly…
by buying a certain household product, they are telling us that they care.
most parents like to do it in a subtle way.

no matter what, sometimes, they do have their black and white encounters.
its up to us,
to give back some colors they had showered us through out the journey.

living a life without colors can be rather plain and boring.

just like myself.
my mom will nag and nag and nag, about my smoking.
(when people care, they love to nag…
nagging is to show you, that they cared…)

and if you happened to see it in black and white,
you will get very angry and irritated,
and will splashed red colors, indicating that you are angry to your mom.
but, if you cool down, don’t get irritated, stop…
and accept her concerned,
and telling her that you will try your best to quit,
you’ve painted the color blue, and somehow calm her nerves…

so, what colors will you be painting to your parents today???
